Where does that come from?
It is loosely based on the quote from Frida Kahlo,”I am my own muse.” Something clicked and I started telling myself that. It became my mantra. I gave up on the notion that any man, or person, for that matter was going to come save me. No love could come sweeping in and inspire me more than I could inspire myself. At low points in my life this was a fact of grief, as growth continues I understand the relief and freedom that comes with this realization.
